Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries. It is a great song Doris Day recorded in May, 1967. Ginger Rogers sang and danced it in 1960. Perhaps the bowl of cherries has not been your experience this year.
Individually, we can make the lists of all the disruptions and hardships of 2020. A very easy-to-do exercise. Collectively the list grows by leaps and bounds.
However, we challenge you for this week to tear up those lists, eliminate that thinking pattern and only speak thanksgiving.
For this entire week, simply be grateful. If you need to, search for the tiniest of things. If other people aren’t feeling grateful, understand, and help them find one tiny, little berry that can lighten their heart.
And…WONDER what is possible in your life. Don’t try to find an answer. Simply open yourself to spacious wondering.
- Wonder what disruption is making room for
- Wonder how to contribute to kindness unfolding
- Wonder what it would mean for your grateful influence to grow
No answers, no doing, just wondering.
It’s the berries, cranberries, pumpkins, and good wishes and memories from both of us.
Thank you for being you,
RelationSmiths, Nancy and Sharon
