The Power of Pausing

The power of pausing for self reflection

We are moving quickly into end of the year completions and celebrations. At this time of year we naturally start reflecting about what we have accomplished, are we on course, and what’s next?

We might also be planning how to move forward. Many of us move so fast from one thing to another that we forget to pause. So, today we want to talk about intentionally pausing, reflecting, and acknowledging yourself before moving on.

One client just moved to a new state. Moving opened a window she hadn’t seen. She realized that in the past, she let her friends define her. As she makes new friends, she is liking and appreciating who she is. With this fresh start she’s intentionally being the person-she-is-discovering-inside.

Moving created her intuitive pause. She discovered there is more to her than she had previously seen or allowed.

“All that I am, all that I see, all that I’ve been, all that I’ll ever be,
IS A BLESSING, It’s so amazing.
And I am grateful for it all.”
—Nimo Patel and Daniel Nahmod

Moving forward powerfully demands pausing along the way to see and appreciate who we’ve become.
